LAST August 16, 2004, the Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC) accredited the United Pinoy Association in Korea
(UPAK) as its exclusive "Order Regalo Center" in Korea. Present during the signing of the accredetation agreement were the
top officials of the two corporations, Anthony R.A. Abad, president, and Rommel G. Agustin, manager, of PITC and Don S. Kang,
president, and Ruben Catada, manager, of UPAK.
This is the main number of the General Counseling Center of the Ministry of Labor.
The line is open on July 30, 2004. All you have to do is dial 1350 oor 1544-1350.
People with questions on labor laws and systems are now able to easily get the answers just by calling the numbers. The
center also provides counseling for foreigners to handle their civil petitions as well. The center is expected to raise satisfaction
of both Koreans and foreigners with MOL's service.
The General Counseling Center will be officially open on Wednesday, August 4, 2004.
The main numbers by sector and opening hours are as following:
1. 1350: counseling for foreign workers and questions on overdue wages, dismissal, industrial relations, industrial safety,
and equal employment.
After the Korean ARS message, press 7 for English speakers and press 8 for Chinese speakers.
2. 1544-1350: counseling for Korean employers who want to hire foreign workers, questions on unemployment benefits, employment
policies, and vocational activity development.
3. Opening hoours - Monday through Friday: 09:00 ~ 18:00, Saturday: 09:00 ~ 13:00
